Her story
Kacey Vail originally started writing lyrics and melodies in middle school, with no intention of ever sharing them with anyone. She wrote "poetry" all through high school and college and never told anyone they were songs. As fate would have it, she met a girl in college who had been an up and coming rocker in Las Vegas and the two became friends, though they never sang together then. When they reunited after more than a decade later, they shared songs they had written and began writing new songs together as Violet Venus. Kacey had written over 60 songs in the first 2 years that they began working together and some of the songs were produced with a different vision and sound than Violet Venus, so Kacey put out a few singles under her own name and is still going today.
